Summer Fun 2010

As you can probably tell judging from my lack of blog posts that we have been busy...but enjoying every moment! Logan continues to explore and learn as he is quickly becoming a little boy and leaving all baby behind! He makes us laugh constantly. Luke has been a great baby and is growing very quickly as well. He'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and I join every mom in the world in saying "where does the time go!"

Some updates from Logan:
  • He loves EVERYTHING with wheels and/or an engine. Everytime he hears an airplane he points and looks up at the sky and says something that I think is supposed to be "airplane". He also knows the sound of motorcycles very well and does the same thing with them. He'll hear them go by behind the fence in the backyard even though he can't see them.
  • He loves to have songs sung to him, especially ones where he can act out the actions. He jibber jabbers a lot but we are still working on his vocabulary with him. He knows what things are and he "talks" a bunch but we can't always understand much of it.
  • Logan doesn't really ever walk. He is either running, hoping, rolling or dancing from one place to the next.
  • We are still having trouble getting Logan to eat much of anything besides fruit and ravioli. And of course he loves his sweets. When he eats something he likes he says "num, nummy"
  • He has become obsessed with watching Mickey and Little Einsteins. We have many nights now where they TV is off.
  • Tonight was the first night with no pacifer and we are cutting it cold turkey. Hopefully he doesn't even notice!

Some updates from Luke:

  • He loves to swing
  • He is starting to get better at sleeping through the night but not quite there yet. I hope to put him on a more regular schedule soon.
  • His favorite thing to eat is milk
  • He has started to smile just a little. He likes when I talk to him and make silly sounds.
  • He wonders what those animals with four legs are doing trying to lick him all the time.
  • He likes when I hold him and sit by the window so that he can cuddle and look outside at the same time!
  • He likes to be outside. Something about the sound and warm air calms him right away!

Pat and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary yesterday and I feel so lucky and blessed. He is a great husband and father. I love him more everyday and look forward to many more anniversaries!

Enjoy some of the below photos (and a video) from the past couple months. I can never get this blog to load photos correctly so they start with the most recent photos first.
