18 weeks and baby room stage 1
Hi all - Today we are at 18 weeks and 1 day! It is just flying by (well not really but I mainly just can't wait until our 20 week appointment!). Below is a photo of me today and also a photo of the first stage of our baby room make-over. Pat and I painted the baby room and I love it! We kept the colors pretty neutral as I'd like to do more with color when I start decorating - this will of course depend on whether baby is a he or a she. Up next is painting the trim and putting in the new floor. Future daddy Pat is doing a great job and I can't wait to see it all done.

And the kicking has begun!!
Hi all - just a quick update that I've started to feel Baby Morrison moving around!! I thought I felt a couple things this weekend - but wasn't sure. Then I was pretty sure I felt baby yesterday a couple times and today I'm positive I can feel him/her. Baby was moving around a lot this morning - it kind of just feels like these little tiny kicks or moves on the inside of my stomach and I can feel them pretty good when I just relax and put my hands on my stomach. Pretty exciting!!
In other baby news - my friend Rachel that is also pregnant found out this week that they are having a baby girl!! So exciting!! Rachel, Abby and I are getting together in a couple weeks so we'll get to take another belly picture - hopefully this time it won't just look like three skinny girls standing sideways for some reason!!

16 weeks 2 days
Hi all - Pat and I went to my 16 week appointment today and everything is going good! We listened to the baby's heartbeat and could hear him/her moving around. The doctor said "there's a lot of movement in there." So baby must still be dancing away! It made me think about the day when I'll be able to actually feel the little one dancing around - hopefully within the next couple weeks. We scheduled our ultrasound appointment for May 14 at 8 a.m. - I can barely wait until then as we'll be able to find out if it is a boy our girl!! The following is a photo I took this morning after I got out of the shower - no surprise that the belly continues to grow. Finding clothes to wear to work has been getting a little harder - today my outfit came together with the help of a safety pin!

When you thought I wasn't looking
A friend of mine emailed the following to me and I thought it was very cute and timely. I hope Pat and I can remember this and be a good example for Baby Morrison!
WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick,
and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing, and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good, and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

Pat in training!
Here is Pat with Rob and Kristen's new baby - Avery. I think she was a little over a week old here and she is the cutest little baby girl ever! Pat is so set on having a boy but I think he'd be better than he thinks with a little girl! If you haven't voted yet or haven't noticed - see my poll on the left side of my blog - do you think it will be a girl or boy?
Me at 14 weeks and 2 days
Here is me at 14 weeks and 2 days. My pants get a little tighter every day and I've had to retire quite a few of them. I'm down to about 3 pairs that I can actually wear without having to undo my top bottton!
