It's a Boy!!

We found out on Tuesday that Logan will have a little brother come summer time! I was sure it was a girl and Pat was sure it was a boy! I am so excited to be having another boy - Logan is so lucky to have a brother that will be this close in age to him (although I'm sure there will be times he doesn't think it's lucky!). Tuesday was our 20 week ultrasound and everything looked great! Baby boy was so fun to watch - he was moving a lot and was giving us a show. We could see him opening his mouth and moving his tongue. I think he was saying hi to mommy and daddy! He was also doing a lot of snuggling and playing with his hands and arms. It was so fun to watch and see him - I could have done it all day! He weighed 13 oz and his size and growth was right on track. He measured just a few days ahead of his actual due date (which is July 7) with an estimated due date of July 4!

Enjoy some of the below photos of our little peanut at 20 weeks!

Baby gave us a great shot of his "third leg" at the very end of the appointment. I asked the lady if she got us a photo of that area and she said she'd do another just to make sure. When she was first trying to take the photo he had his legs closed and she said "open your legs for us baby so we can get a good shot" and bam, this is what we got. We all three started laughing.
Here is baby stretching his left leg out. I felt this kick!
In this picture baby is laying on his left side and has his arms up in front of his face.

This is similar to the shot above but here baby is putting his hands under his head like he was trying to sleep.
Another shot pretty close to the above one, although you can see his face better here.

Here is a profile shot of baby with his right arm/hand up by his face. I think he was putting his fingers in his mouth here.
A good profile shot - perfect baby already! :-)

Fun in the....inside!

We are so ready for summer to get here!! More snow today and I don't remember the last time we saw our lawn without snow! Definitely getting spring fever. Logan continues to keep us smiling and it is so fun to watch him learn. Here are some of his favorite things to do and new things that he is learning:

  • He has learned how to give kisses although his technique worries me a little bit. He seems to think kissing always involves an open mouth...watch out ladies!

  • He loves to give high fives and then clap for himself after he gives one.

  • Still loves food - he'll eat just about anything and a new favorite we found out about this week was Shepards Pie. Daddy made it for dinner on Monday and Logan loved it! He even ate it before his fruit - which never happens!

  • Logan has gotten more responsibility when it comes to exploring the house but we always have to keep a close eye on him. He loves to play in his room by pulling all of his books off the shelf, pulling out all of his shoes and emptying out his stuffed animal basket. And don't even try putting any of it back when he is still playing in there, it is just a waste of time.

  • He loves to test things out by pushing bottons, pulling out drawers, and twisting knobs. One of his favorite things to do each morning while he helps mommy get ready is to turn up the volume on dad's alarm clock. The first time he did that was one loud wake up call for Pat and I. Pat now has to check it each night and turn it back down. For some reason I think Logan knows exactly what he is doing!

  • Logan is still enjoying daycare and we are so glad to have his teacher Coco back. She was out for surgery for about 6 weeks and boy did we miss her. We were so grateful for those that stepped in while she was gone but it just wasn't his Coco! Logan reverted back to crying each morning and just wasn't himself. Coco came back last week and although it took Logan a couple days to adjust - all is back to normal! He runs to greet her in the morning and is just happier to be there. Amazing how much of a difference a good day care teacher can make in the lives of our children! (and for the assurance of us parents!)

Baby Morrison II continues to grow and we'll find out soon the sex of the baby. Looks like girl is currently the leader in our online poll - and that is still the way I'm leaning! Crazy to think that before long we'll have our little wild man and a new baby both! I've been trying to talk to Logan about the baby in my belly but of course he is still too young to understand - usually all he wants to do is point at my belly button! Enjoy the below photos of our "inside" fun and this first belly photo of me taken at about 17 weeks (we're currently at about 18 1/2 weeks)!

Logan loves him some spaghetti! Trying to get him to use the spoon but he is still learning what exactly it is for!

Grandma Cathy came for a visit and thought she'd bring the outside in and make a little snowman. Logan is quite intrigued!

Yeah! Good job Grandma!

I even get my own little mini-mini snowman!

Hmmmm - what should I do with it?

I'll just knock it over!

Logan has many, many toys to play with and here is one of them. He loves to pull his helicopter around the house.

Aren't I just the cutest ever!

Mommy and me cheering on the Vikings! They won this one!

Logan giving mommy a kiss!

Logan, Pat and I went to one of Rich's HS girls basketball games - this one was at Wells Fargo arena. Logan had fun watching the players and he loved to clap for both teams!

He even got his own seat!

(Notice the big red mark on his forehead - he decide to headbutt the seat in front of him when he was standing in front of his chair.
