Updates on Logan:
- Logan continues to jabber more and more each day. He is repeating some of what we say and continues to say new things that surprise us. It is fun to hear him talk and we continue to be amazed at some of the things he does. Tonight we were looking at his "First 100 Words" book and I asked him where the frog was. He pointed at it in the book and started saying ribbit, ribbit and moved his arms and shoulders like a jumping frog. I know this is just simple and ordinary to most people and something all kids do but it is fun to watch your own kids learn and start to understand the world. Maybe because we remember when they couldn't even roll over!
- One of his new favorites is stripping down to his birthday suit every night after we put him to bed. There have been many nights the last couple weeks that we check on him before we go to bed and there he is in his crib - naked and without a diaper. As you can imagine, this usually leads to new sheets and new pajamas.
- Logan has SOOOO many toys and loves to play with all of them. Some of his favorites lately include his new Thomas the Train set from Santa, his lap top from grandma, his Mickey Mouse ball pit and anything with wheels! He is lucky to have such great family and friends that like to buy him toys. Our living room has become a Toys R Us supply room!
- Logan is learning his ABC's and his two favorite letters are O and W. Anytime he sees either of those he points to and pronounces them. Also working on counting to 5 - his favorite number is 1. :-)
- Some of his other favorites: bath time (he likes to put his ears under water and hear himself talk/sing with them under), singing songs including Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Mary had a Little Lamb, he likes being chased around the house by mommy and daddy, loves to eat chips and candy (but really who doesn't?), he loves to climb and jump on everything, and really loves to be the center of attention!
Updates on Luke
- Our baby is growing so fast! He had his 6-month appointment this week and weighs 18 1/2 pounds (70th percentile for his age), his height is 28" (77th percentile) and his head size was 17.75" (83th percentile).
- He is a very happy baby and loves to smile at everyone.
- He loves to watch his brother play and run around. His eyes are always following his brother and Logan can put a smile on his fast quicker than any of us!
- He loves his puppies and likes to try and grab their ears
- No teeth yet but they are coming soon. We can tell he is teething and his pediatrician said that his bottom gums were a little swollen - suggesting that teeth will pop up soon!
- Another favorite of Luke's is to jump and play in his little einstein jumper. This was one of Logan's favorites as well!
- Luke is still not sleeping through the night but I am hopeful! He usually wakes up once or twice a night and just needs his pacifier to go back to sleep so it really isn't too bad.
New pictures coming soon! (As soon as I can remember where I put my camera!)
