It is crazy to think that in 3 weeks I'll be a mommy of 3. Can you believe it? Because I can't. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I'd have 3 kids. For a while I thought maybe even more than that but I think I'll be happy with 3. :-) We bought bunk beds for the boys so that we can get ready for baby. We've tried putting them together a few nights but not full time yet. The boys stay up really late playing of course and Luke keeps trying to sleep with his brother. We're going to have to make the switch full-time soon - wish us luck! We're still trying to sell the house and are actually listing it with a realtor next week. We're hopeful that it will sell before it gets too cold. We're excited to find our next home and to have a little more space for our soon to be family of 5. Based on my past blogging frequency I'm guessing the next post will have some new baby pics. Wish us luck!
A few things about pregnancy and baby #3:
Cravings:
- Neopolitan ice cream
- Ice tea - my favorite is Tazo lightly sweetened organic black team - yum!
- Italian melt sandwiches
- Fruit - grapes, strawberries, apples
- Obviously...chasing two little crazy boys
- The end of the pregnancy has been a lot harder on my body than I remember with the other two. Lots of back pain, sciatic nerve pain, tired, etc
- Size wise I think I'm a little smaller with this baby than either of the boys. I've gained about 20-25 pounds so far and if I remember right it was more like 30-35 with the boys.
Things about baby:
- He/she is a mover of course - favorite party time is between 9 and 11 pm!
- I'm getting really excited to find out if it's a boy or girl and of course what/he she is going to look like. I've bought a few little girls clothes and will be digging out my boy clothes this weekend.
- Baby likes to move around a lot when his/her brother's are talking to him.
- Luke loves to give baby hugs and kisses
- They both say that it is going to be a boy
- They like to drive their matchbox covers over my belly
- I don't think either of them really knows what is in store in 3 weeks!
Here are some of my favorite pics from the end of summer/early fall. Boys are growing so fast!
My handsome boys
We took a mini-vacation up to the twin cities to visit GiGi and check out the Mall of America. The boys loved the amusement park at MoA and we loved getting to see GiGi!
Aquarium at MOA
Not sure who enjoyed this ride more, Grandma Cathy or Logan!
We went camping over labor day weekend and our family of four stayed in a tent together. It wasn't too bad...the worst was getting the boys to sleep. Fun times!
Luke and his second cousin Katie
Camping french toast - yum!
They even had a slip and slide!
Craig, Pat and I went golfing on Sunday morning not too far from the campsite. It was a beautiful day to golf and my last golf outing of the season. I was able to swing the club just fine but it all just wore me out! By the time I was to hole 8 I wanted to take a nap!
Me and baby at about 26 weeks
Our annual trip to visit the Michigan Morrison's was great! We were able to cheer on Uncle Tim to a win and we made it all the way through the 1st quarter! Maybe someday we'll be able to stay for a whole game...2020 maybe? It was so fun to see the three cousins play together - sweet Harper is growing so fast!
Took the kids to an indoor play place near Tim and Betsy's and all the kids loved it.
Luke pulling cousin Harper in the wagon
Only fair if you switch places on the way back I guess!
Cousin TV time before bed. How cute are they!
After our weekend in Michigan we headed down to Indiana to visit Aunt Gail and Gma/Gpa Arndt. We stayed in a cute little cottage in Beverly Shores, IN near Lake Michigan. It was a little cold for the beach during our stay but we did make it down a few nights to throw rocks and then spent one day at the beach playing in the sand/water.
Gma Arndt took us to the zoo. The water tube at the otter area was a favorite spot - so fun to watch the boys!
Aunt Gail and the boys playing on the farm.
Me and the boys took a visit out to Jester Park area to explore and take a few pictures. We took the puppies with us and I think spent more time chasing them!
